Wondering what photography gear to bring to weddings? Take a look inside my camera bag. I’ll show you the complete list of what camera equipment I bring to weddings, and what I bring to photo sessions.
Photography Gear to Bring to Weddings/Events
Lenses
Canon 50mm macro
Memory Cards
Sandisk 64 GB SD (x3)
Sandisk 64 GB CF (x3)
I always bring more cards than I think I could need, in case of a card failure.
Lighting
Godox Speedlite (x3)
(I have both Flashpoint and Godox, since they are interchangeable. Flashpoint is only available on Adorama.com)
Godox Lantern
This isn’t common, but it’s my go-to for a lot of lighting, because it’s a soft-multi-directional, natural light source.
Cheetah Stand (x3)
These are my favorite stands, since they automatically collapse when you lift them. Easiest to use when you’re moving around, especially in small quarters.
And Don’t Forget
Blotting Paper
(because it’s HOT in Atlanta)
What to bring to Portraits/Photoshoots
Cameras
Spare batteries
Always bring at least one spare battery.
Lenses
(I tend to shoot portrait sessions with prime lenses, since I prefer the look and I can control the circumstances more than weddings)
Memory Cards
Sandisk 64 GB SD (x3)
Sandisk 64 GB CF (x3)
I always bring more cards than I think I could need, in case of a card failure.
Bags
For most sessions I can fit everything in the shoulder bag, or the trolley case alone, I don’t need both.
Lighting
Godox Speedlite (x2)
(I have both Flashpoint and Godox, since they are interchangeable. Flashpoint is only available on Adorama.com)
